The Varied Insanities of Melfina the Blue

Okay, so the idea I had last night (before I forget)
An ancient land, where 14 families in 14 Houses rule. These Houses have a will of their own, and a magic of their own. Those who are lucky enough to grow up in these Houses emerge changed, powerful. The Houses protect their own, their legacy, by any means necessary. But when strangers invade, what will the houses do to stop them? What will it cost?

That's all I got, but I thought it was a cool idea for an original fic.

Okay, I should really just give up for a little while, shouldn't I? While attempting to figure out what I can do about this fest my brain has come up with...
AS/S (which ran into the fic o'doom is now my postDH canon, and I can't seem to write any fic involving Hogwarts without Lucius. This would normally be fine, except I probably shouldn't reference my own personal fanon in an anon exchange.) I like the fic, though. Makes no sense if I take Lucius out
Draco and stalker Harry (Draco gives Harry a pity fuck, and Harry just won't take "Get the hell out of my flat, Potter!" as an answer. And that pairing isn't even allowed)
Lucius becomes Frankenstein in an effort to bring Narcissa back to life (it has some potential, but why is there snarky ghost Snape? Why? Because I seem to really like snarky Ghost Snape. He's shown up in three bunnies now.)
Ron and Draco get blindingly drunk and shag. (Been there with One Drunken Mistake, and there isn't much more to this)
So, we have lovely bunnies, that just won't work. And bunnies that rather scare me. And now the brain is having fun trying to convince me that I can write the H/D one, just combine with Lucius/Petunia. Bad brain. Very bad brain.

*wanders off to start a fourth story, with a happy non-fest related bunny*

So, it's a new month, which means a new to-do list. Yay!
1. Figure out if remix beta has dropped off face of earth. Find new one if needed.
2. Finish traditions fic
3. Finish rarepairs fic
4. Finish part 9 of fic o'doom
5. Write entry for luciuscauldrons
6. Possibly write Draco in therapy and Lucius with ketchup allergy sequel. Possibly. Cause the plot bunny is there, and scary. But am doubtful more lolcat would make lolz.
7. Severus Snape reviews the HP movies.
8. Start on rewrite of abandoned fic. (Yes, I adopted a fic, and it is shiny and I shall call it squishy) Go here if you are interested in adopting/hijacking a fic of your very own.
9. Watch friend get married. Be happy for friend.
10. Go to bridal shower. Possibly finish present beforehand.
11. Work on random plot bunnies, and possibly do more of my 25 prompts table.
12. Resist urge to make a tarot prompts table. (I am not allowed to do this till I finish my current prompts table. I don't care if I look at the damn deck and see "Slytherin talking Hufflepuff into initiation ceremony", "Charlie Weasley gets busy", "Something about broomstick lubrication", ect.)
13. NO FESTS!
14. Meta.

Another plot bunny wandered along, but it's for one of my prompts, so I'm okay with it.

folks, I had to do it)-> and this was the bunny that almost had me crying on the way to work. Poor Sev, and poor Lucius, losing his best friend.
